12 Days of Christmas Projects

This is Project number 5, I can't seem to get enough of this beautiful DSP, I just love the Sweet Stockings DSP from the June - December 2021 Mini Catalogue and the Playful Penguins DSP from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue which is current now until the 30th of September 2021.

I decided to make a Bridge Fold card. perfect for a fireplace, I did a lot of fussy cutting for this card, something that I dislike doing but seem to be doing more of. There are heaps of tutorials on Pinterest, the one I chose this time around  was Maymay's tutorial on YouTube, this is only the second time that I have made this fancy fold and both times I have been pleased with the outcome, below is one I made about two years ago.

The measurements for this card, you will need: Piece 1 Crumb Cake cardstock 5 x10, for the mantle/fireplace Crumb Cake cardstock 3 3/4 x 7.

Piece 1 with (10") long side to the top score at1 3/4, 3 1/4, 6 3/4 & 8 1/4.

The Bridge piece/ mantle/fireplace ( now this is where it gets a little bit complicated and you might want to watch Maymay's YouTube tutorial) with the (3 3/4") short side to the top score at  1 1/2 & 2.

Place the long side (7") with the 1 1/2 " section to the top and score at 1 3/4 and 5 1/4 to the first line, turn and score at 2 1/4 and 4 3/4 to the 2" line,  below is a picture.

Cut out the section with the squiggly lines and now you should have a mantle that looks like the picture below

I cut two pieces of Crumb Cake scraps measuring 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 and ran it through the Brick & Mortar Emboss folder and adhered it to the sides of the fireplace, I cut 1/2 x 7 scrap of Early Espresso for the mantle, I used dimensionals and adhered it. All the other elements on the card I fussy cut and die cut using various dies, you can pretty it up as much as you want, I wish I had used Cherry Cobbler or Real Red for the Brick wall, for the wall paper I used the Peaceful Prints, I cut 2 pieces at 1 5/8 x 3 and for the centre I cut a piece at 3 x 3 1/4, for the presents I just used scraps of Real Red, Shaded Spruce cardstock and scraps of DSP it can be any scraps that you have. I stamped the Christmas tree with Garden Green ink using the Peaceful Cabin stamp set, again I'm sure you will have something in your stash I didn't have anything that was retired.

I think this turned out pretty good wouldn't you agree, if so please leave a comment. Below is the list of products used for this card.

Thanks for stopping by,
