Blogging Friends Blog Hop Fall Themed card

I was excited when Rick opened up the invitation for demonstrators to join his Blog Hop, I'd say I'm new at blogging and I'm trying my best to be consistent with posting as often as I can. I first started blogging in May with Kylie Bertucci's Blog hop and now here I am with the Blogging friends Blog hop. I'm amazed at all the wonderful talent that is show cased at every hop, I'm sure you will find heaps of inspiration from all the talented demonstrators that are taking part in this hop.

I love the colours of autumn and I have never really gravitated to the autumn/fall stamps and dies. The Gather together bundle was my first ever fall set, maybe it will be something that I will add to my stash  moving forward. Here in Australia our fall/autumn season is from the 1st of March to the end of May, we are right now at the end of winter, and I can't wait for the warmer months.

I chose to do a gatefold card using the Gather Together stamp set along with the dies.  I chose my card base to be Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler to be the accent piece, I love the Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler combination. I cut the leaves from scraps of cardstock and used the forever gold laser cut leaves as a filler, I was happy with how the card turned out and I hope you do too. Below are the details of the card.

Card details:

Card base: Very Vanilla 5 7/8 x 8 1/4 score @2 1/16 flip and repeat the scoring to make a gatefold, place the centre of the smallest celebration die on one half of the fold and die cut and repeat the same for the other side.

Layer 1: Cherry Cobbler  5 5/8 x 3 7/8 cut in two 2 pieces 5 5/8 x 1 15/16, place the centre of the 4th celebration die( largest die being number 1) at the edge of one of the pieces and die cut and repeat the same for the other piece.

Tip, before you cut the cherry cobbler layer in two, cut the centre out using the 4th celebration die (the largest die being number 1)and that can be used to layer the inside of the card, then cut in two, after the pieces have been die cut, emboss both pieces using the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. I adhered the pieces to the card base with dimensionals.

I then cut all the pieces required for embellishing the card, for the centre I used the 4th celebration die again and cut a piece from the gold brushed metallic cardstock and adhered it to one half of the card base on the left side, I used the Gathered Leaves dies and the Forever Flourishing Dies to cut the leaves from scraps of Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Bumble Bee and Pretty Peacock, and I used the Forever Gold Laser Cut leaves as well.

For the inside of the card I used the left over die cut from the Cherry Cobbler layer, and cut another piece from Very vanilla cardstock using the smallest Celebration die , layered them one on top of the other, stamped my sentiment using the Gather together stamp set and then embellished it with a die cut leaf and a stamped and die cut pumpkin image from the same set. The sentiment on the card front I used the Ornate frames dies to cut the sentiment out.
