Prized Peony Fun Fold Triangle Easel card

Hello Everyone,

I have been wanting to do this for a while, so now is the right time, I'm not sure why and for no particular reason, I thought why not  challenge myself. I love fun fold cards, I love watching YouTube tutorials on how to make them, but I very rarely try to make them. I have a board on Pinterest with heaps of fun fold pins and it was time for me to finally try one and I'm glad I did, I chose to make the Triangle Easel card, you can find the details from Noor designs on Pinterest.

It didn't take me long to decide what I wanted to display on my Triangle easel card, I just love the Prized peony bundle, have you seen it? WOW WOW WOW, yes I'm shouting out loud on how gorgeous it is, its absolutely beautiful, the whole suite is amazing, you can find the information in the Annual catalogue on pages 82 to 83 or you can click on the link The Prized Peony suite to check out this amazing suite.

I followed the instructions on Noor designs for the card, once I had the card cut, scored and folded I was ready to put it together,  below are the steps
  1.  I  die cut the pieces for the 3D peony (there are heaps of tutorials on YouTube on how to put the pieces together)
  2. I used a sponge dauber to ink the edges with Petal pink.
  3. I turned the edges of the petal using my bone folder, just to give it some dimension.
  4. I stamped the large flower image below twice, I die cut it and adhered both the images together, this was the base for the 3D peony.
  5. I then stamped the smaller flower image below ten times to make 2 lots of  3d flowers,  which I adhered to each corner of the card.
  6. I used one of the stamped flower image as the base for the 3D flower, I then cut the 2 flower images into 4 sections, (in the picture below you can see where I have marked the cut lines with a pen)  once I cut the flowers into segments I then used my tweezers and pinched and twisted the petals to give it some dimension.
  7. I then adhered all the 4 sections on to the base of the flower, (so far I have used 3 stamped images, one for the base and two for the petals), now with the remaining two images, I punched the centres out using the daisy punch and the small bloom punch just to give it a more fuller look in the middle, I then embellished the centres with the basic pearls. Repeat steps 6 & 7 for the other flower.
  8. I sprayed some adhesive on the flowers and dusted some dazzling diamonds to give it a shimmer.
  9. For the bud I stamped the image 3 times on petal pink cardstock with petal pink ink, with one of the images I used as the base, the second image I cut the centre, I used the shaping tool on the back to make it more round and the third image I cut the two edges and again used the shaping tool to give a more rounded look, below is the picture, (I used my paper tole skills for the flowers and the bud).
  10. I die cut 4 leaves from whisper white and petal pink cardstock.
  11. I used the light granny apple green Stampin blends to colour the stem and leaves.
  12. I adhered the 3D peony onto the large stamped image and then adhered the whole thing on to the centre easel of the card, below is a closer look.
  13. I embellished it with a double bow made from the crinkled seam binding ribbon.
  14. I then cut a piece of petal pink cardstock 3/4 " x 3 1/2" and embossed it using the tasteful textile 3d embossing folder and punched the ends using the lovely labels punch.
  15. The sentiment was from the Band together stamp set which  I stamped on scrap piece of whisper white cardstock and die cut it using the stitched so sweetly dies. I adhered it to the embossed petal pink piece.
  16. Finally I applied wink of stella on my beautiful peony.
